Sycamore Springs Middle School students will be roaming new halls this school year following the completed renovations and upgrades on the campus.

The expanded SSMS campus also includes a new dance studio, additional classrooms and more. The school cafeteria also underwent an expansion, which was completed in fall 2024.Construction is still underway at the new Sycamore Springs Middle School dance studio, but is set to be ready for the fall semester. (Elisabeth Jimenez/Community Impact)Construction on SSMS began in early 2024. The school was set to reopen in spring 2025, but was pushed to reopen for the 2025-26 school year.

The first day of school for the 2025-26 school year is Aug. 13. School hours have changed for the school year as follows:
Elementary school hours: 7:40 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.
Middle and high school hours: 8:50 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
