Dripping Springs ISD announced Jan. 9 a community information series, Taxpayer Tuesdays.

Taxpayer Tuesdays invites members of the community to join Superintendent Holly Morris-Kuentz and Deputy Superintendent Elaine Cogburn at different campuses in the district every first Tuesday of the month, with the exception of January’s on the 17th.

The sessions will be focused on various topics, aimed at giving community members opportunities to learn about student programs as well as district operations and finances.

The series topics will include school finance in Texas, district tax rate and debt, recapture and its impact on DSISD, and the district budgeting process and calendar.

The first session will be on Jan. 17 at Dripping Springs Middle School beginning at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until 11 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to check in by 9:15 a.m. with photo identification.


Additional Taxpayer Tuesdays will be Feb. 7 at Dripping Springs High School, March 7 at Sycamore Springs Middle School, April 4 at Rooster Springs Elementary School and May 2 at Dripping Springs Elementary. All these dates will begin at 9:30 a.m.
