Gabriela’s will be located in the Southpark Meadows shopping center at 9600 S. I-35, Unit B-500, Austin, and will be the second location for the restaurant that was founded by Gabriela and Arturo Bucio in downtown Austin in 2018.
“The Austin community has continued to be incredibly supportive of my brother and me ever since we embarked on this adventure and for that, I am so grateful,” Gabriela Bucio said in the news release. “Opening a second location of Gabriela’s is a dream come true and I really can’t wait to show off our new spot.”
The South Austin restaurant will have a similar menu, featuring tacos, tortas, ceviche and specialty dishes, as well as a full bar with 20 beers on tap and a weekend brunch offering. According to the news release, the restaurant will also introduce new seafood options not available at the original restaurant.
In February, Gabriela’s Group also announced new restaurants in North Austin: a second location of Taquero Mucho and a new concept, Seareinas.
