Rastegar Property Co.—which last year acquired 1.3 acres along South Congress Avenue to redevelop into a future multifamily project—has expanded its footprint in the area, adding a half-acre site at 106 Redbird Lane that is adjacent to its existing project.
Located just north of Stassney Lane between Redbird and Mockingbird Lane, the new project will bring 155 multifamily units to the South Congress corridor, according to an Aug. 4 news release by Rastegar.
“The Red Bird Lane Property will allow Rastegar to bring much needed housing to an ever-expanding section of Austin,” Rastegar Founder and CEO Ari Rastegar said in the release. “The South Congress Corridor is only going to grow as Downtown Austin continues to expand farther south, and this development will be centrally located to all the shops, food trucks and nightlife that make it one of the most desirable sections of the city.”
