Salt Lick BBQ announced June 6 that its Driftwood location at 18300 FM 1826, Driftwood, will be closed temporarily after an employee who was working at the restaurant June 5 tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to a post by the company, the restaurant will be closed as other employees are tested and the building is professionally sanitized. The employee who tested positive was primarily a meat cutter who did not show symptoms and wore a mask and gloves while working. The employee did not interact with customers, according to Salt Lick.
The announcement came one day after the business said it would temporarily be closing its Round Rock location due to one of its employees testing positive.
A reopening time for both locations has not yet been announced. The Salt Lick BBQ food truck in Dripping Springs is still operating.
