The Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant chain plans to open on Ralph Ablanedo Drive this spring, according to a representative for the restaurant. This will be the 10th Chuy's in the greater Austin metro. Chuy's first opened on Barton Springs Road in 1982 and serves tacos, enchiladas, burritos, cocktails, beer, wine and more.

Pins Austin

Pins Mechanical Co., a Midwest-based social entertainment company, will open a location in the St. Elmo neighborhood this spring, according to its website. Pins Austin will offer duckpin bowling, pinball, “old-school” entertainment, craft beers and classic cocktails. The bowling alley and arcade will replace what was once promised to be the St. Elmo Public Market before the project went dark and was quietly listed for sale in 2022.Eggs Up Grill

A new breakfast restaurant is coming soon. Eggs Up Grill is a national franchise, with locations in nine states, including two in Texas. This would be the franchise’s first Austin location and will be overseen by Omar Thompson and Megan Hood.Quik Trip

Texas Drop Tine Outdoors


The North Austin sporting goods and metalworks store will move the majority of its products from its original location at 6910 Shirley Ave., Austin, to 8921 Nuckols Crossing in South Austin. Owner Danny Hernandez said the new property offers more space. Texas Drop Tine Outdoors sells handcrafted metal and wood hunting products such as feeders, blinds and traps as well as artwork and barbecue pits. Hernandez said they will also have a food truck park on the new property.In the news

According to a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the 24-hour gym chain will open a location in Southpark Meadows this year. Crunch Fitness offers cardio and strength training equipment, fitness classes, personal training and amenities, including childcare, tanning, red light therapy and locker rooms with showers and a sauna.Closings
