Cabo Bob's, the Austin-based Baja California-inspired restaurant, opened its newest location in Onion Creek Aug. 2.

This is the first of two new planned locations opening in South Austin. The second, replacing the former Taco Ranch at 5033 W. Hwy. 290, Austin, will open this fall according to Cabo Bob's owners.

The Onion Creek restaurant will host a grand opening celebration with coupons, prizes and Cabo Bob's swag on Saturday, Aug. 17. The restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. and a ribbon cutting with take place at 10:35 a.m.

Grand opening attendees can:
  • Enter a drawing to be one of 25 people at the restaurant before it opens selected for a $300 gift card
  • Bring their business card to enter a drawing for a chance to win a free 50-person catering
  • Receive double punches on a punch card with the purchase of an entree
