Padel Club Austin opened on April 20.

The club was founded by Andres Osorio and is Austin’s first Wilson Padel club.

The facility includes a nine-court outdoor complex for padel—a combination of tennis and racquetball—said Paloma Cortina, manager and head coach at Padel Club Austin.

“It’s a very social sport,” Cortina said. “It’s very easy to learn. Easier than tennis ... and it’s a little bit more challenging than pickleball, but it’s very fun.”

Padel Club Austin also has a food truck on-site, and will soon have locker rooms with showers, a bar and a pro shop where players can rent or buy racquets and purchase padel apparel and accessories. Padel can only be played in doubles. Beginner, intermediate and advanced clinics are available for signups, and the courts are available to book through the Padel Club Austin app.
