Thirsty Planet Brewing Co., the brewery behind the Thirsty Goat Ale, is closing its taproom and suspending distribution, owner Brian Smittle confirmed Aug. 14.

The taproom is located at 8201 Congress Ave., Austin. It opened in April.

Thirsty Planet Brewing Co. began in South Austin in 2010.

Smittle did not provide a timeline for closing the taproom or shutting down distribution.
