H-E-B plans to open a new location in Oak Hill on Oct. 27, according to a news release from the company.

The 90,000-square-foot building will sit on the 30-acre plot at 7901 W. Hwy. 290, Austin, at the intersection with FM 1826, about a mile west of the existing Oak Hill H-E-B, the release said.

The new H-E-B will have expanded product selection and Curbside services, according to the website. When the new store opens, the old store in the Center of the Hills shopping center at 7010 Hwy. 71, Austin, will close, representatives said in February.

The store's look is based on the feel of the surrounding neighborhoods, the release said. It will also include several environmentally sustainable elements such as rainwater harvesting, water retention ponds and preparations for future a solar panel installation, the release said.
