The 34th annual Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot offers a timed and untimed 5-mile run, a 1-mile walk or run, and a 1-kilometer kids dash. All proceeds for the event benefit Caritas of Austin. Runners will meet at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Drive, Austin that morning.
Street closures throughout downtown and west Austin will begin at 3 a.m. Nov. 28 and may last until 1 p.m.
Major closures include West Riverside Drive; South First Street; Lavaca Street south of 15th Street; West 15th Street and part of Enfield Road; Newfield Lane and West Cesar Chavez Street. For all closures and alternative routes, click here.
In Southwest Austin, the third annual Circle C Turkey Trot offers a 5K and a Kids Mile starting at the Circle C Ranch Community Center, 7817 La Crosse Ave., Austin.
The only closure will be La Crosse Avenue from Spruce Canyon Drive to Escarpment Boulevard, from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.
