Austin-Bergstrom International Airport officials announced changes to security checkpoints at the airport effective May 8.
What you need to know
Expedited screening programs Transportation Security Administration PreCheck and Clear screening will only be available at Checkpoint 2 West.
According to a news release, consolidating these types of screenings to one checkpoint “will streamline and simplify the experience for all travelers.”
Crew member screening and priority screening will only be offered at Checkpoint 1. Screening for passengers in need of accommodations will not be available at Checkpoint 2 East.

TSA staff provide assistance through checkpoints if a passenger books a support specialist in advance.
Also of note
Travelers may notice Checkpoint 3 is closed until at least 2026 because of the West Infill project, which will expand the checkpoint and add more space for travelers in addition to space for the new baggage handling system. This project is part of the expansion and development program.
