The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking community input ahead of approving its 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program and an amendment to its 2045 Regional Transportation Plan.
Terms to know
- CAMPO serves as the regional transportation planning organization for the area, including Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Burnet and Caldwell counties.
- The TIP includes dozens of projects that will begin construction by 2028 and whose funding has already been secured through the Federal Highway Administration or the Texas Department of Transportation.
- The RTP is a long-range plan that includes studies and projects that aim to improve roads, transit, biking and walking in the metro over the next 25 years.
CAMPO approves a new TIP every two years and a new RTP every five years.
