The details
Wanderlust Wine Co.'s downtown location is covered in pink, transformed into the Malibu Barbie Cafe. The family-friendly experience is a pop-up restaurant and roller rink inspired by toy company Mattel's doll, Malibu Barbie. The cafe, presented by media experience brand Bucket Listers and Mattel, has previously opened in New York, Chicago, Miami, Minnesota and Houston.
What's special about it?
The immersive experience is decorated with motifs of 1970s Malibu, complete with photo opportunities like the life-size Barbie box. All skate rentals for the roller rink are $1 and will be donated to the American Red Cross toward California wildfire relief.
The cafe also offers a fast-casual menu from Master Chef finalist and Chopped champion Chef Becky Brown.

Menu items include the Good Vibes Beet Hummus, Live Your Dream Grilled Cheese, Pacific Paradise Pancakes, Beach Burger and more.
Brown told Community Impact her inspiration behind the menu came from thinking about what she would want to serve to Barbie if Malibu Barbie was coming over to her house. The menu includes "something for everyone," she said.
Desserts include cupcakes, sundaes, cake pops, ice cream floats served in a Barbie car, and the Cupcake Barbie Float served in a Barbie boat.
The menu also includes beer from Blue Owl Brewing, wine from Wanderlust Wine Co. and cocktails.
