Good things come in small, steamy packages at Austin’s newest dim sum and Chinese restaurant, Ling Wu Asian Restaurant at The Grove, which opened in the Rosedale neighborhood off Burnet Road this summer.

A combination of her grandmother's influence and knowledge of Asian cuisine, chef Ling Qi Wu brings her background with traditional Chinese foods from Fuzhou City in southeast China to North Austin.

Dishes include crowd favorites like soup dumplings, egg rolls and kung pao shrimp, as well as chef specials like Peking duck, roasted duck pancakes and curry ox tail.

The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday for lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and for dinner from 4:30-10 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, dinner service is extended until 11 p.m. The restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. on weekends for dim sum brunch.

Wu launched a similar concept in southwest Austin, called Ling Wu Asian Restaurant, in 2023 and has steadily built clout within the Austin dining scene over the past several years.
