183A extension to open in 2025
Commuters across the western part of the county will soon benefit from an expansion of these toll offerings, with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority set to open additional 183A Toll lanes in 2025.
The newly paved roadway will extend the Mobility Authority toll lanes from the current stopping point at Hero Way in Leander up to Hwy. 29 in Liberty Hill.

Austin Convention Center redevelopment design revealed
After a decade of planning, the nearly 33-year-old Austin Convention Center will soon be torn down and rebuilt through a four-year project that will transform six square blocks of downtown.
The $1.6 billion redevelopment kicks off with the center’s closure in April, soon after South by Southwest Conference & Festivals, with reopening set in time for that event in 2029. It’ll eventually boost the local economy and Austin’s national profile, officials said, as well as impact the surrounding area, and city hotel and tourism operations in the years ahead.

Red Horn coming to the square, Hello Sweetie BBQ closes: 17 Georgetown business updates
Several business, including Whataburger, Burn Boot Camp and Rush Automotive along with various medical, acupuncture and chiropractic offices, opened in Georgetown recently, with others coming soon.
The city also saw several businesses relocate, and two—Hello Sweetie BBQ and Barrels & Amps—close within the last three months.

Le Citron European Café & Bistro, a locally owned café in New Braunfels, closed its doors Feb. 19, according to a social media post.
"Whether you came for your daily coffee, celebrated special moments with us, or simply enjoyed a quiet moment in our little corner, your presence meant the world," the post states.
