Veteran's Day celebrations, live music and an art gallery tour of Austin– there’s an event for everyone to check out between Nov. 8 and Nov. 10.

The country music singers will perform at the Round Rock Amp. For every ticket sold, $1 will go to Mission Possible, a nonprofit organization meant to address homelessness.The 2024 Veterans Day 5K

The fun run will be held at Lake Pflugerville, and the organizer is collecting toys for Toys for Tots and food for the Round Rock Area Serving Center.Field of Honor

The Rotary Club of Georgetown will host the eighth annual event displaying 2,000 full-size flags. The flags will honor military personnel, veterans, first responders, K-9 units and equestrian heroes. Flags can be purchased and dedicated online or at the event. Funds raised from flag sales benefit nonprofit organizations that provide services to veterans and first responders. Attendees can expect a grand opening event for the field Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. and a Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.

Fire Ant Frolic Contra Dance Weekend


This will be the 25th year the nonprofit event has been hosted and the weekend will feature music by Lake Effect with Matt Sloboda, Catherine Sloboda, Chuck Abell and Larry Unger. Rich Goss and Koren Wake will be the callers for the event. There will also be a silent auction, various workshops including caller and band workshops, an open jam session, and a potluck brunch on Sunday.

Austin Studio Tour

An annual Big Medium program, the Austin Studio Tour gives art lovers the opportunity to go on a self-guided tour of 480 galleries and studios across the city. The first weekend of the tour will feature artists on the west side of I-35, and the second will feature artists on the east side.20th annual Veterans Appreciation Banquet

Nonprofit Red, White and Blue Veterans of Bastrop County will host the annual event honoring local veterans and their families. Commemorative 20th anniversary coins will be sold at the event and all funds raised will go toward county organizations.

Wurstfest


The 10-day festival will celebrate New Braunfels’ German heritage with beer, German cuisine, live music and vendors near Landa Park. This year, the 10-day celebration features more than 40 entertainment acts from musicians all over the world across five stages. Wurstfest features over 20 food vendors that offer German-inspired food and drinks, amusement rides and artisan shops.
