Commuters along portions of Old Stagecoach Road in Kyle should plan for traffic delays through Jan. 16, as the city moves a 400-year-old heritage oak tree named Jolene.

What you need to know

Road closures will come in two phases:
  • Phase 1 will see Old Stagecoach Road closed from Cypress Forest Drive to Three Forks Drive, through Jan. 16.
  • Phase 2 will see Old Stagecoach Road closed from Cypress Forest Drive to Six Creeks Boulevard, Dec. 2-10.

Officials said the relocation is necessary to facilitate the city's 2022 voter-approved road bonds, which will widen Old Stagecoach Road to a four-lane roadway.
