Texas State University will be closed and all classes at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses will be canceled Tuesday as a wintry mix is predicted to hit the region late Monday night.

All campuses of Austin Community College are also closed tomorrow.

The university said it is monitoring weather conditions to determine whether classes are canceled Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is calling for significant icing resulting in dangerous driving conditions starting late Monday. Freezing rain, sleet, snow and low temperatures are also expected.

Hays and Travis counties are under a winter storm warning through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Due to winter storm warnings, Texas State will cancel classes and suspend operations on Tuesday at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses. The university will monitor weather conditions on Tuesday to determine whether classes and university operations will resume on Wednesday.
