Kahvie Lofts, a third-wave coffee shop, opened May 8 at 817 Chestnut St., Ste. 221, San Marcos. The coffee shop features a menu inspired by a blend of different cultures with the intention to serve the best from everywhere, according to owner Sarah Nicotra. Some of the drinks offered at Kahvie Lofts originate from Australia, Cuba and Japan with an Italian espresso foundation. Kahvie Lofts will add waffles, egg sandwiches, homemade pastries and other lite fares to its menu in the near future. For now, the coffee shop is only offering online and walk-up orders.
