Heartworks Co./Paper Bear, the local novelty and San Marcos souvenir store located at 218 N. LBJ Drive, San Marcos, will be closing its doors in the spring of 2020. After being open for 41 years, the art and handmade jewelry store will close due to the retirement of Carol Powers, the owner. 512-396-2283. www.paperbear.com
