The filing period for candidates seeking to run for local leadership positions in the November elections opened in July.
In addition to the presidential election in November, see below what City Council seats in Buda, Kyle and San Marcos are up for election in 2020.San Marcos City Council comprises seven elected officials. The mayor is elected at-large to serve a 2-year term. City Council members are also elected at-large but serve staggered three-year terms.
