Valentina's owners Miguel and Modesty Vidal made a $2 million capital investment for the first brick-and-mortar location along with a $513,000 incentive from the Buda Economic Development Corp.
The new space is 6,500 square feet with space and seating for around 200 diners.
“Years ago, when we decided to open a restaurant, we sent photos of potential lots and locations to our architect,” Modesty said in a news release. “Turns out, we shared a photo of this exact space [at Buda Mill & Grain]. We honestly never thought it'd be possible.”
The restaurant is in its soft opening phase until a grand opening June 21.
The hours for the time being are as follows:
- June 16: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
- June 17-19: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
- June 20: closed
- June 21: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.; ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m.
