The Kyle community will once again enjoy the water features at La Verde Park.

The city of Kyle approved a contract with Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Water Parks for major repairs to the La Verde Park Splash Pad at the Sept. 2 council meeting. The project cost will not exceed $300,825, according to city documents.

Why now?

During the week of May 19, a mechanical failure in the splash pad’s autofill system caused extensive flooding in the pump and electrical room, resulting in major infrastructure damage.

According to a memo sent by Kyle Administrative Services Director Rosie Truelove, the project will greatly enhance the splash pad’s functionality and safety, helping to maintain its value as a key recreational resource for the community.

The upgrade will include:
  • Modern safety features
  • Automated alerts and diagnostics
  • Simplified maintenance
