Ferguson Enterprises, one of the largest distributors of plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or HVAC, supplies in the U.S., is coming to San Marcos. The company has signed a lease for 35,000 square feet at Clovis Crossing, specifically 1603 Clovis Barker Road, Ste. 102.

The location will better serve trade customers across Central Texas and bring an undisclosed amount of jobs.

The overview

According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the project includes interior renovations within an existing building shell. Planned features include retail sales areas, offices, restrooms and merchandise storage.

The space will primarily serve multitrade HVAC and plumbing professionals and include a dedicated pro-pickup counter for quick access to products, according to a Ferguson representative. The location is expected to open before the end of the year, as build-out is currently underway.

The number of jobs the new space will bring is undetermined.

"We’re still finalizing staffing plans for the San Marcos location and will scale as needed to support our customers and the services we offer,” the representative said in an email.

Digging deeper

The new location addresses sustained demand for plumbing and HVAC materials in the region, according to Ferguson. The San Marcos site is designed to help contractors and trade professionals access essential products and job-site support more efficiently.

“The new San Marcos location helps strengthen our regional presence and enhances accessibility for our customers operating across Central Texas,” the representative said in an email. “Positioned between Austin and San Antonio, San Marcos allows us to better serve trade customers across Central Texas with improved access and service.”
