Following an executive session June 7, Kyle City Council approved a Chapter 380 performance agreement with Alliance Industrial Co., an industrial development and investment company, for a project that could be more than 1 million square feet that will serve new and expanding businesses in Hays County.

The Hays County Commissioners Court also approved a performance agreement at a meeting June 7.

The project is called Kyle/35 Logistics Park and will be part of the Texas Innovation Corridor, an area for commercial innovation in the middle of Austin and San Antonio. This is one of many projects that has joined the Texas Innovation Corridor such as Buda Midway and the NorthPoint development in Kyle.

Kyle/35 Logistics Park will have five logistics facilities ranging from 140,000 to 475,000 square feet, according to a press release, that will be designed for single or multitenant use.

"There was no question about our need to be in the city of Kyle," said Chad Parrish, managing director of Alliance Industrial, in the release. "With explosive growth and growing demand for industrial and logistics space in the region, we found ourselves perfectly aligned with the Kyle business community. We’re proud to be bringing the largest-ever speculative space to the Texas Innovation Corridor and bring much-needed infrastructure to the companies that want to be doing business in Hays County.”
