San Marcos to host open house on workforce housing May 22


The city of San Marcos will host an informative open house May 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Recreation Hall to discuss the affordable housing needs for San Marcos and potential strategies the Workforce Housing Task Force has identified to address them.

San Marcos City Council identified workforce housing as one of its top five priorities in 2019, for the second year in a row. As a result, the San Marcos Workforce Housing Task Force was formed in to bring stakeholders, community members and city leaders together to assess the city’s housing needs and ways to increase its stock of affordable housing.
