The popular footwear brand recently opened a location at the San Marcos Premium Outlets, bringing a variety of sandals ahead of the summer months. The store is situated between the Psycho Bunny and Karl Lagerfeld Paris stores in the mall.
LivAway Suites
The business offers flexible, long-term hotel stays for those visiting the city, relocating or traveling for work. Floor plans feature in-room kitchens, private bathrooms, laundry facilities and various bed options.

Dos Gatos Kolache Bakery
Local business owner Chase Katz first established the bakery in 2009. The eatery sells homemade Czech kolaches and coffee at three existing spots, with a fourth location on the way.
Legacy Arts
Local artist, graphic designer and creative Lauren Hofmann Larkin is transforming the original Hofmann’s Supply shop into the art supply store. Larkin’s grandfather founded the original shop in 1937. The space will serve students, artists and the local creative community.

Company officials plan to finish out the 2,462-square-foot retail store by June 15. The store offers apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children.
Home Depot
The 107,797-square-foot store will be the first in San Marcos and feature a 28,120-square-foot garden center. The $13 million development is set to begin construction on Sept. 7 next to the city of San Marcos Conference Center, located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton.

City of San Marcos
San Marcos crews began installing the city’s first-ever gateway sign along S. I-35 in the Texas Department of Transportation right-of-way. The marker’s design features colors and materials inspired by the area’s natural surroundings.
Texas State University
The university unveiled a new sculpture by artist Nathan Mabry on April 25. The artwork, titled “States Up,” is part of Mabry’s "Heavy Handed" series. Texas State President Kelly Damphousse and First Lady Beth Damphousse gifted the piece to contribute to the university’s growing commitment to public art and campus beautification.
Alvin Ord’s Sandwich Shop
The owner announced the shop’s temporary closure and “change in leadership” in an April 19 Facebook post. The eatery, which has been in business for over four decades, will undergo a deep clean and modernization of facilities, standards and culture, according to the post.

Gennaro’s Ristorante Italiano
The family-owned restaurant will serve authentic Italian cuisine using recipes that originated in Naples, Italy. Ownership is finishing construction, perfecting the menu and making sure every detail is right before setting an official opening date.
Costco Wholesale
The 152,000-square-foot store will sell an array of items, including jewelry, groceries, appliances and more.
