A new gym in Kyle opened in late January to community members of all ages and experience levels.
The gist
Burn Boot Camp co-owner Kellie Heller and her team offer instructor-led, 45-minute workouts, along with one-on-one meetings with trainers so members can share their individual goals.
Zooming in
Each week, the gym offers three to four days focused on strength training and two to three days focused on cardio. Trainers provide nutrition guidance and personalized plans as well, and all workouts have modified exercises to meet the fitness needs of all members.
“A lot of people are hesitant and nervous about it,” Heller said. “Trainers can make those modifications. There's no judgment. It's like a friendly environment.
Burn Boot Camp serves members of all ages, from those in their 20s to those in their 70s, Heller said. The gym also offers a child watch service that is complimentary for all members.
Meet the owners
Burn Boot Camp is locally owned by Heller and her husband, Lance Heller. Kellie Heller is from the Kyle area and attended Hays High School.
“I just knew that the community there needed a gym, and it would be great,” Kellie Heller said. “I knew the demand, and I knew the city and town.”
The Kyle location offers a no-judgement gym built on community and uplifting members, Kellie Heller said.
