Dining options on Buda's Main Street expanded when Salt Lick BBQ owner Scott Roberts opened Roxie’s, a Salt Lick Family Restaurant.
What’s on the menu?
The eatery serves dishes inspired by family recipes, with starters including pimento cheese dip, deviled eggs and sliders. The menu also features salads, burgers, chili dogs and “Roxie’s famous biscuit.”
For those interested in a family-style meal, Roxie’s offers “The Experience,” which is designed for sharing.
Guests can select entrees such as chicken-fried steak, baked chicken, and smothered-pork steak with unlimited refills of Southern-style sides like mashed potatoes and creamed corn.
In addition to a menu of savory eats and sweet treats, Roxie’s offers a full bar serving everything from margaritas to frozen Bellinis.
What’s in a name?
Roxie’s was named after Roberts’ grandmother, Roxanna, or Roxie.
“Roxie was more than a wonderful cook; she was the heart of every Sunday gathering,” Roberts said in a news release. “With Roxie’s, we’ve dedicated ourselves to continuing her tradition, bringing that same comfort, care and flavor to every bite.”
