Burchfield Educational Theatre is now enrolling students in grades K–12 for its summer theatre camps and after-school classes, with summer camps beginning June 2.

The overview

The family-run theater company was founded by longtime Buda residents Angela and Tim Burchfield, both local musicians through their band Hideous Pink.

Angela Burchfield is also an educator, performer, voice teacher and music therapist with decades of experience working with children of all abilities, including those in special education.

Tim Burchfield has experience in set design, construction and music performance.

Digging deeper

Theater programs are designed to build confidence and creativity by involving students in every aspect of production—from acting to backstage work, according to Lilja Macki, marketing director for Burchfield.

Beginning in the fall, the theater will also offer after-school pickup options from local Buda and Kyle schools.
