An Austin-founded craft beer brewery is slated to open its new location in San Marcos in late spring.
What’s happening?
Thirsty Planet Brewery will open in the former Aqua Brew spot in downtown San Marcos.
Founded by Brian Smittle in 2010, the brewery was previously located on South Congress Avenue in Austin. That location closed shortly after it opened in 2023. Since then, Thirsty Planet has been brewing some of its beers at Austin Beerworks and offering them in local bars and grocery stores.
