Nitro Swimming, the Austin-based chain of swimming instructional facilities, opened a new swim center on Jan. 6.

Owner Tracy Koleber said Nitro Swimming has been based in the Austin area for nearly 26 years after opening its first location in 2007.

“Our primary focus is swimming, but it’s all very programmed,” Koleber said. “We start teaching swimming to babies as young as 6-months-old, and then we have a competitive and non-competitive swim team.”

The new location features two swimming pools—one for swimming lessons and the other for competitions and training.
