Layne’s Chicken Fingers
The College Station-based restaurant with locations throughout Texas and the U.S. will open a San Marcos location owned by Houston native Noah Kara. Layne’s serves chicken finger meals, sandwich combos and milkshakes.

Audio Outlet
The car stereo store relocated from 1520 S. I-35 to 2626 Hunter Road, in San Marcos. Audio Outlet offers vehicle window tinting, lighting, marine-grade audio and car audio.

Volante of Sage Springs
Sage Spring Senior Living changed its name to Volante of Sage Spring on Sept. 17, according to a news release. The premier senior living community also rebranded with a new logo and website.
Closures
Conn’s HomePlus
The home goods retailer is going out of business and will close its San Marcos location on Oct. 31, according to a Conn's HomePlus employee. The store sells couches, mattresses, exercise equipment, microwave ovens, compact refrigerators and more. Conn's HomePlus will have sales up to 50% off on a variety of items including rugs, box springs, massage chairs and barstools.
