Abuelita's Bakery Spot will be opening its second location in downtown Buda this summer, according to a social media post.

Locally owned by brother-sister duo Hector and Vanessa Rodriguez, Abuelita's Bakery Spot began as a cottage baking venture in December 2020. In September of 2021, the at-home bakery opened a food truck before moving into its first brick-and-mortar space at the Kyle Windmill Center in 2022.

"Thank you to everyone for the continuous support from our food truck era to our [first] brick and mortar location to now allowing us to open our 2nd location in Buda," the post said.

Abuelita's Bakery Spot specializes in fresh mini pastries and also sells hot and iced coffee, frappes and breakfast tacos. Abuelita's Bakery Spot is also known for its weekly "drops," which incorporate different designs and themes into the conchas.
