Owner Eli Zablosky decided to open a photo lab because he thought it would be a good resource.
“It's a reviving art that people need other resources to pursue. Unless people are driving to Austin or San Antonio or they're a film student, they'll need help doing it,” Zablosky said.
Zablosky Film is the only photo lab dedicated to developing film and the only distributor of commercial and independent film stocks in San Marcos.
The photo lab provides processing for film stocks in a multistep chemical bath, dries and digitizes with high-quality scanners.
Zablosky Film will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. as well as drop-off boxes for film at the shop and at Jo's Cafe, located at 310 Mary St., San Marcos.
