Construction on Chisholm Trail Road will change traffic patterns for four weeks, beginning Aug. 4.
What you need to know
Between Sam Bass Road and Poker Alley, southbound traffic on Chisholm Trail Road will be detoured. Northbound traffic will continue through the work zone. Drivers will not be able to turn onto Chisholm Trail Road from Sam Bass Road.
No on-street parking will be available in the work zone during this time, though parking remains open south of Poker Alley.
About the project
Construction on Chisholm Trail Road began July 1 to fully reconstruct the road from Sam Bass to RM 620, including pavement rehabilitation, sidewalk upgrades, and improvements to utility and drainage infrastructure. Completion is expected by September 2026.
Funds for the $4.26 million construction project come from Type B sales tax revenue.
