The overview
Williamson County is asking voters to approve two bond propositions totaling $884 million.
- Proposition A: the issuance of $825 million of bonds for roads, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay principal of and interest on the bonds
- Proposition B: the issuance of $59 million of bonds for park and recreational purposes, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay principal of and interest on the bonds
There are 14 statewide constitutional amendments on the ballot as well. Some of the amendments include making a change to homestead exemptions, providing a cost-of-living adjustment for teachers, authorizing funding for infrastructure projects, and raising the mandatory retiring period for justices and judges.
Dates to know
- Oct. 23: first day of early voting
- Oct. 27: last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)
- Nov. 3: last day of early voting
- Nov. 7: Election Day and the last day to receive ballot by mail (or Nov. 8 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at location of election)
