A local volunteer organization is making sure Round Rock ISD teachers and staff will be receiving some additional love from their community.
Members of Helping Hands for RRISD, an organization comprising district parents and community members, will be installing signs with messages of encouragement and appreciation at 62 district facilities Feb. 8.
These signs are being installed ahead of Valentine's Day to "spread some love" to district teachers, Maritza Gallaga, RRISD associate director of communications and community relations, told Community Impact Newspaper via email. She said the organization's goal is to support teachers in their roles as educators during a challenging time in public education.
Helping Hands is led by district parent Laura Unnasch.
