The Dime, a "social dining" restaurant and cocktail bar, will open in downtown Round Rock by the end of August.

What's in a name

Named for the building's history as a 5-and-10 cent store, otherwise known as a "five-and-dime store," The Dime taps into the history of downtown Round Rock, said co-owner Sasha Flores.

Flores said The Dime is owned by a group of local business owners, including herself and her husband, Jeremy.

The details

Flores said The Dime's cocktail menu will include familiar favorites with a twist. She said the menu of wagyu smash burgers, steak frites, shrimp pasta, salmon and vegetables, and chicken Florentine will be accompanied by a variety of appetizers.
