Sangam Chettinad Indian Cuisine expanded with a second location in Round Rock on July 1. The restaurant offers South Indian cuisine from the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu.

The background

According to previous Community Impact reporting, owner Nalluraj Devaraj moved to Austin in 2000 where he met his working partners, Rathan Rajendren, Prem Kumar Shreshta and Ram Kulanthaivelu. Expansion to a new location comes six years after the business partners opened their first location in 2018 off of Parmer Lane in Austin.

On the menu

The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for customers. Menu items include the tandoori goat chops, chicken malai chicken kebab, sangam kurma and paneer biryani.


Sangam Chettinad Indian Cuisine is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner at the Round Rock location, with breakfast option available at the Austin location on weekends.
