Five Round Rock-area businesses will receive support and guidance through a first-time program geared toward startups from the Round Rock Chamber.

The Round Rock Chamber announced the selection of five startups making up the first cohort of its gBETA Round Rock program.

The program launched in September and received 60 total applicants, according to a release from the chamber.

The five businesses selected are:
  • Formus
  • Longhorn Life Sciences
  • ThreatVisor
  • TillerXR
  • XPerf
These startups cover a variety of industries, such as artificial intelligence-powered home renovation communications, wearable health technology and cybersecurity.

The chamber's gBETA Round Rock program is a free seven-week no equity accelerator offering one-on-one coaching and tailored programming to participants, as well as a network of potential mentors, customers and investors, according to a news release shared Sept. 10. Participation in this program is intended to set up a pathway for startups to engage in equity-based accelerator programs and investment opportunities.
