Bridge placed over Lake Creek to connect Round Rock West with downtown area
The city of Round Rock continues work on a new trail segment to connect Round Rock West with the downtown area, most recently using a crane to place a bridge over Lake Creek.
The one-mile Lake Creek Trail will connect the east side of I-35 to the west side. It includes a connection from Round Rock West Park, through a pedestrian underpass under I-35 and a bridge connecting to Centennial Plaza.

Round Rock Chamber partners with venture capital firm gener8tor for early-stage startup accelerator
The Round Rock Chamber is partnering with venture capital firm gener8tor to launch a new program to support startups in their earliest stages.
The chamber's gBETA Round Rock program is a free seven-week no equity accelerator offering one-on-one coaching and tailored programming to participants, as well as a network of potential mentors, customers and investors.
The program is open to early-stage startups in Central Texas, strengthening Round Rock's pipeline of entrepreneurs and fueling long-term economic growth, according to the chamber's announcement.

Round Rock approves $2.9 million contract to maintain city streets
Round Rock City Council approved a $2.9 million contract with Texas Materials on Oct. 9 to repave, repair and carry out preventative maintenance on several major roads as part of its annual street maintenance program.
The 2025 Arterial Street Maintenance Program targets main high-traffic roads based on their current pavement condition. The work will include removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt, as well as replacements of pavement, curbs, sidewalks and driveway entrances. Assistant Director of Transportation and City Planning Brian Kuhn said road segments are chosen based on their overall condition, and this year’s focus will be on streets that are in the worst shape.
