City officials gave the go-ahead to rezone just under half an acre in central Round Rock in June.
City documents show the rezoning of 0.469 acres of property near E. Palm Valley Boulevard will allow it to be used in a variety of ways, for both commercial and residential purposes.
The overview
The Round Rock City Council unanimously approved two measures June 26 to rezone the property at 802 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, with council members voting to dispense with a second reading. The first measure would rezone the property from OF-1 general office to MU-R mixed use redevelopment and small lot, while the second would update the city's Future Land Use Map to amend the property's designation from residential to mixed-use residential.
