Some local and national businesses made recent announcements that they intend to close their doors in Round Rock.

Tuesday Morning

The Round Rock location of home goods store Tuesday Morning launched a going-out-of-business sale at the end of April with plans to close by the end of June. Representatives of the Dallas-based company announced via a February news release it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is restructuring to allocate resources to higher-performing markets. 512-716-1694.

Virtropolis VR Escape Rooms

VirtropolisVR Escape Rooms, a virtual reality escape room located at 1401 S. I-35, Ste. 170, Round Rock, closed permanently May 14. Owners Rene and Patty Arredondo started their business in 2020 with nine escape room-style virtual reality games. By the time it closed, the game catalog had grown to 25 adventure escape room games. 512-300-0885.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Representatives of national home goods chain Bed Bath & Beyond announced a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing via an April 23 news release. Store staff said it is unclear when the Round Rock store located at 2701A Parker Drive will close permanently. Among other items, the retailer sells kitchen appliances, bathroom accessories and college dorm furnishings. 512-238-1536.
