“I can’t imagine what she went through or what a lot of my clients go through. It’s not good,” Morgan said. “But the end result is life.”
Morgan opened Luxe Brow + Lash in March 2017 in south Round Rock after working for 13 years as an esthetician for other companies that include the Milk + Honey Spa in downtown Austin.
Through Luxe Brow + Lash, Morgan provides cosmetic services for long-lasting and permanent brow makeup, lash tinting and lifting.
Morgan normally offers lash extension services but said she is not taking on new clients for that service so she can focus on areola restoration.
Among the permanent cosmetic services offered at Luxe Brow + Lash are brow waxing, tinting, henna brow, permanent and combination brow tattooing, microblading and powder brows. The latter is similar to the process of microblading, wherein she uses hair-like strokes to create fuller brows that can last for 18-24 months. The difference is the powder technique utilizes dots to create the same effect and can last up to three years, she said.
“Diving into permanent makeup was just the logical next step for me, because I’ve seen a lot of brows that needed help,” Morgan said. “It just helps people get more comfortable with their own skin.”
In addition to assisting clients who have had mastectomies following a breast cancer diagnosis, Luxe RX provides paramedical tattoo services to patients who have undergone gender affirmation procedures as well as cosmetic procedures to restore the appearance of their areolas.
Morgan received her training from Ink Boutique Houston, which she said is regarded as a premiere paramedical tattooing program.
A single areola tattoo through Luxe RX costs $350, and a pair costs $500, but Morgan said insurance will often cover the procedures.Morgan said that is achieved using tattoo pigment and dimensional shading.
“This allows me to do a hyper realistic 3D areola and nipple on them,” Morgan said. “That gives them back a sense of normality. I’m giving them back what they once lost to the best of my ability.”
