Owners of Hippo Cafe announced on Facebook that the upcoming restaurant will open soon at 109 E. Front St., Hutto. Hippo Cafe will fill the building formerly occupied by Hutto's Hit the Spot Cafe, which served its last dishes Jan. 27.

According to the Facebook post, Hippo Cafe will offer a similar menu to Hutto's Hit the Spot Cafe, which featured home-style cooking, traditional American cuisine and Tex-Mex dishes.
