Now open: FM 1660 Xpress #1

Convenience store FM 1660 Xpress #1 opened Aug. 3 at 133 E. Front St., Ste. 100, Hutto, owner Tariq Karedia confirmed in an email. The 4,500-square-foot space offers breakfast and lunch menus, craft beers and wines, tobacco products, fountain drinks and a variety of snacks. 512-642-6074.

Reopening: The Brass Tap

The Brass Tap reopened at 204 E. Main St., Round Rock, on Aug. 10. In addition, The Brass Tap partnered with Round Rock’s Wiseguys: A Chicago Eatery in launching a food truck. Stockade Kitchen is set to open at 210 Ed Schmidt Blvd., Ste. 100, Hutto. The upcoming fast-casual restaurant’s menu will feature everyday staples such as burgers, steak, chicken entrees and salads, Stockade Cos. representative Ed Sadler said. Rotating daily comfort food specials will include dishes such as meatloaf and fried chicken. Cork & Barrel Craft Kitchen + Microbrewery is anticipated to open this fall at 4000 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, according to the business’s website. The restaurant is described as a blend of “an Irish pub experience and Central Texan cuisine” while also facilitating the atmosphere of traditional Austin beer gardens. Relocation: Dos Mary’s Tex-Mex Bar & Grill

Dos Mary’s Tex-Mex Bar & Grill has relocated from its former location at 118 E. Main St., Round Rock, to 11620 N. FM 620, Austin. Closing: Safe Way Rental Equipment Co.

Safe Way Rental Equipment Co. will close its Round Rock branch Aug. 31, Safe Way President Dale Rundell said in an email to Community Impact Newspaper. Located at 1904 N. Mays St., Round Rock, the business initially opened in December 1983, Rundell said. Safe Way is an Austin-based company that provides tools, equipment and products available to rent.
