Pflugerville Police Chief Jessica Robledo has been named a recipient of the Latina Industry Leaders Award by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the city announced in a May 8 news release. Robledo was one of eight women chosen in recognition of her public service work, positive community influences and leadership, per the release.
A virtual Capital of Texas Latina Industry Leaders Awards will be held May 29 at noon and will recognize Robledo and fellow recipients for their community work. Those recognized with the award include business owners, nonprofit leaders, community members and public servants, per the release.
“I am so humbled and honored to be considered for this award, much less be named the recipient,” Robledo said in the release. “I hope to be a seed of hope and strength for one Latina out there that is scared to fail and overcome obstacles.”
