Round Rock residents can view the city's annual Independence Day parade from their front lawns this year.

In place of the city's traditional downtown event, three Community Spirit Neighborhood Parades will travel through Round Rock neighborhoods.

Residents are encouraged to watch the parade from their porches, sidewalks and lawns in a socially distant manner. The parades will follow three routes, passing through west, central and east portions of the city. Each parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. July 4.

Each parade route will include a Patriotic Power Stop, a dedicated area to view the parade with free giveaways and refreshments. Social distancing will be encouraged at each of these areas.
